It’s official! Sunday, September 11, 2016 is the big day at the Bayshore Barnes and Noble, in the Gardiner Manor Mall, on the south side of the Sunrise Highway service road. We have designated it a day to benefit the Babylon Village Arts Council, a worthy organization that sponsors cultural and artistic events in our South Shore community and beyond. there will be representatives there from the Arts Council to give out info and collect e-mail addresses from 1PM-7 PM. A local Painter, Wolfgang Vann, will show works and do a demonstration at 1, then follows a performance from Positions Dance studio at 2, and then I am on from 3-5, with a talk, a reading from the book, a Q and A session that can last as long as we want, and book signings for the rest of the evening. Local poets will read from their works from 3-5. “The Last Wizard…” will be available for purchase there, or bring what you already have to be signed. A free CD of my original music will be given away with every copy purchased, and there will be a raffle for a free hardback edition. Everything sold in the store that day, including at the café, will share 15% with the Arts Council to continue their good work. It will be a big event and a lot of fun, so, if you live nearby, please consider stopping by to say hello!
I am also going to be doing an in-person book signing, from 2-4 PM on Saturday, September 24, sharing with two other authors, at the Dolphin Bookshop, 299 Main Street, Port Washington. This is a great independent bookstore with a cafe, a huge selection of books, toys and paraphernalia, and lots of events. if you live in Nassau County, please considering coming in to support local authors at this event!
